Dear Nokia Messaging customer, The Nokia Messaging account you have been enjoying came as part of the purchase of your Nokia phone. According to our records, that phone has been transferred to another person. Your Nokia Messaging account has been deactivated. Your account is safe - it cannot be accessed by the new owner of your Nokia phone. In addition, you can sign up for a new Nokia Messaging account for use on another Nokia phone. Please visit the Nokia Messaging website (http://email.nokia.com/account) to see a list of Nokia phones that run with Nokia Messaging. We look forward to serving you again. Sincerely, Nokia Messaging team *** This email was generated automatically. Please do not reply to it.
What records are you talking about Nokia. My E72 has not been transferred to another person.
So what gives you the right to arbitrarily decide that someones mobile has been transferred to another person and act by freezing my nokia messaging account. I have 2 nokias an E90 and now an E72. I have 3 sim cards a UK one and 2 UAE ones and I use them interchangeably. They are all mine, belonging to one person, so why have you judged that my E72 has moved to " another person". This is outrageous nokia.

I understand your frustration. We're all users here so don't expect answers from Nokia. The 3 different SIM cards could very well be the issue here. Even though you're the owner, Nokia Servers don't know that. It's clearly a safety precaution.

yes hadimassa, thanks for the consolation anyway. im just so frustrated because they make a judgement take a decision and send u a message to which you cant reply and tell you we just confiscated your account but dont worry we have kept it in a secure place. seems like they really do try to irritate their customers despite a nokia officials denying.

I don't use NM at all because of the reasons you mention. I use the default e-mail app and Profimail to great satisfaction.

It would be daft if they are tying it to SIMs. Plenty of people swap SIMs for various reasons (and not for potential terrorist reasons either as the UK Gov believe!). I do for work/home purposes. Besides, people change contracts and operators to get better deals.
If they tie it to anything, it should be to the IMEI. One account per actual phone.

thanks deadkenny advisor. i totally agree with you، but what can one say. ive sent to nokias customer service about this issue and they promised to reply within 48 hours, rhat was 96 hours ago but whos counting anyway. though i know that this is primarily a users forum i do know too that officials from nokia do oversee, moderate and actually many times interact with these messages. at their total discretion im sure though. lets hope we reach a satisfactory conclusion to this highly irritating issue.

This is related to Nokia Messaging configuration, not the device it self.

Not sure I got what you mean Hadimassa.

The original question was related to NM. To activate NM you receive a configuration SMS. Now, if you start swapping SIM cards there might be a problem. Also keep in mind that not all SP's support NM.

yes its quite possible. I change phones too but both have nokia messaging, with the e72 its preinstalled and with the e90 i downloaded it.
You know the origin of all the problems is that nokia made us make so many user names and passwords eg for ovi mail for your nokia account then for your nokia messaging account. People forget passwords easily so when one tried to retrieve the password they made one keep going in circles, so one would make another nm account and another etc and here the nightmare began and one started getting messages that this and that email is associated with another account and you sold your mobile to another person etc. And as if this all wasnt bad enough they just coudnt or wouldnt make an easy way for a person to delete his account by himself. We have this nokia account where we write all our information for nokia people. it includes all our relevant email addresses and our mobile numbers. they could add to it also our nokia mobile phones and their imie, so that they dont brand someone a terrorist just because he changed his number or the mobile hes using.
